This is basically how shit works in EdwardxBella fanfics:

• The Villain(s) - Jacob Black is almost always a villain of some sort. Abuser/rapist/thug etc. …or he’s a dog. Also, Tanya Denali (and sometimes Kate Denali too). She’s always the ‘office bitch’ who works with Edward and tries to get into his pantaloons. 

• The Funny One - Emmett Cullen. He’s always Edward’s burly-ass brother who jokes about his sex life, or lack of it. Then he pisses off Bella too and loves making her blush. Also, he’s always a bodyguard/bodybuilder/kickboxer or some shit like that.

• The Insightful Bitch - Rosalie Hale is always a bitch in some way, but she knows how to stick up for herself and is genuinely terrifying to Bella. She also almost always knows what’s going on between Edward and Bella and can sense sexual tension from a mile away, cos’ she’s that fucking cool. Oh, and she usually gets crazy drunk in a lot of them … along with Bella.

• The Annoyingly Pushy - But Loved - Best Friend - Alice Cullen, is almost always Bella’s best friend who she’s known since childhood, or high school. It’s either that or she’s Edward’s annoying little sister who’s always prying. Bella - or someone else - always states that Alice is annoying but loves her anyway. Alice continuously works to get Edward and Bella together … oh, and she’s always chirpy as fuck.

• The Wisdom Giver of the Fam - Jasper Hale, always gives some kind of relationship advice to Edward. Kinda like a psychiatrist. And he always calls Alice, ‘Ali’. He’s never an actual sibling of Edward, always a brother-in-law.

• The Devoted Parents - Esme and Carlisle Cullen are always … religious. Either that or they treat Edward like ‘The Miracle Child’ and love him unconditionally. Sometimes, Carlisle’s an absolute twat and doesn’t give Edward enough attention and then Edward hates him, blah, blah, blah … 

• The Minor Characters That You Want To Kill - Garrett, Leah Clearwater, Paul Lahote, Irina Denali … they’re always the work colleagues or the weirdos in the bar/club. Usually Paul’s a burly guy that hit’s on Bella. Irina’s a bitch, as is Leah (but she is anyway). Garrett usually works for/with Edward and they don’t get along They just always pop up somewhere. You can almost always guarantee that every member of the wolf pack will be dicks in some way … except for one … 

• The Minor Characters That You Want To Hug - …and that’s Seth Clearwater. Everyone loves Seth so in fics he’s always the adorable little kid who wants to be Bella’s/Edward’s friend. Sometimes he only pops up once, others he’s in the entire story but he’s always the adorable little bastard that never goes away. 

• The Mains Who Take 10 Chapters To … You Know - Edward is always really grumpy. His eyebrows always furrow and he constantly pinches his nose/rubs his temples. Then he see’s Bella and it’s like - HOLY SHIT WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE YOU BEAUTIFUL BITCH - he’s definitely attracted to her but then he remembers that he has deep, psychological issues that probably stem from some childhood trauma or rejection and that he isn’t good for her. So he ignores her and she gets pissy but that just makes them more attracted to each other, blah, blah, blah…

• Bella’s usually innocent. A small town girl who just moved to a big place and has this overwhelming attraction to Edward after seeing him for two minutes. She constantly talks about his sex-god like hair, and how he clenches his jaw and all that corny shit … again, when she first see’s him it’s always - WOW YOU MAGNIFICENT BEING I MUST FORNICATE WITH YOU NOW - but then she realizes that she’s boring, and dull compared to him and he’d never want her, blah, blah, blah …and then they fuck. Over and over and over again. And then some more. And they never get tired. Ever. So they fuck some more…

• Then there’s always an Epilogue explaining how they ended up happy and Bella always ends up telling him she’s pregnant and they have a baby and call it Shaniqua or some crazy shit like that (no offence to anyone called Shaniqua out there … okay, maybe a little). No, seriously it’s usually Lily or Grace or Emma or something like that, but it’s always a girl.

So yeah … that’s basically how shit works in EdwardxBella fanfics.
