Taylor is the only one of the Breaking Dawn cast that got a MTV movie award nomination.
Sure it for best shirtless scene but ha i’ll take what i can get
Yeah. But honestly it’s a double-edged sword. I’m happy Taylor got a nomination, but it sucks that it’s not for acting or anything… just how nice his body looks. He wants SO bad to be seen as more than just a pin-up boy, the shirtless-guy, and even though I’m 99% sure he’ll win… it’s not gonna help his career.
Even though Kristen and Rob didn’t get a nom this time… they are doing okay. Pretty damn good honestly. Rob’s go so many projects lined up. He’s doing movies back to back. And Kristen’s totally set as well. She’s got her movies and Balenciaga. Taylor has basically nothing :( He’s YET to film a new movie as the lead actor and the only thing we KNOW he’s going to be in is GU2, but that’s just a small part.
And no, it’s not cause he can’t act. It’s cause people can’t get past this hot-guy stigma. Winning this award would help keep him significant enough in Hollywood… but for the wrong reason. I’m just really hoping and praying that Tracers will be filmed and whatever project he has in planning with Gus Van Sant will become something as well.
So yeah, I do hope he wins, simply because I am his fan and I support him no matter what… but… meh.
I cannot tell you how much I hate that ‘Shirtless Performance’ award. I think I’ve made about 20 posts just trying to fathom what the fuck it actually is!
That is not an award! It’s quite degrading actually! Taylor is a brilliant actor and he deserved a hell of a lot more. He’s not all about ‘the body’, he has other qualities. I’m sure he’s proud of his body and all (I’m not objecting to it or anything ;D) but he’s an actor and this is an award show.
On another note, I’ve been noticing a lot that although people say that there a three main cast members of Twilight, they tend to ignore Taylor when Rob and Kris aren’t involved. It’s not fair. It’s always ‘Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart (and Taylor Lautnter)’ , you know!
Ugh, he just deserved better. He does deserve better. I’m sure he’ll get tons of jobs soon. He’s brilliant.
